Solana Beach, CA

As it gets warmer, we all love to run away to the beach. Solana Beach in California is one of my favorite beaches to run to! This charming seaside community is nestled along the northern coast of San Diego County and is about a half hour drive from San Diego. Since its accessible from I-5, Highway 101, Lomas Salta Fe Drive and Via de la Valle, as well as Amtrac and the Coaster, getting there is a breeze. The city lives up to its name with temperatures that average 62 degrees in the wintertime and 77 degrees in the summertime. The 1.7 miles of coastline are great for swimming, surfing, or joining the locals to watch the sun set at the award winning Fletcher Cove Park. Solana Beach is a great place to go for anyone looking to enjoy the beach, ecletic shops, great dining, golfing nightlife and nearby hiking.

One of my favorite places to go when I visit is Cedros Design District, which is just a short walk from the beach. There are over 85 one of a kind shops and restaurants here! The Belly Up is a great local spot for live music or you can go gallery hopping along Cedros Avenue. Check out Sand Pebbles Resort while you are there!
